History of Carson
Carson was founded in 1881. This happened because a train station, called a depot, was built there the year before. The depot was part of the Burlington and Rock Island Railroad.
The city is part of the Riverside Community School District. This school district was created on July 1, 1993. It was formed when the Carson-Macedonia and Oakland school districts joined together.

Carson is located in a lovely area. It sits right along the West Nishnabotna River.
