What is Cascade Creek?
Cascade Creek is a stream, which is like a small river. It starts high up in the mountains and flows downhill. This stream is special because its entire journey happens inside a famous national park.
Where Does It Start?
The journey of Cascade Creek begins at a place called Lake Solitude. This lake is located high in the mountains. From there, the water flows downwards.
Where Does It End?
After flowing for about 8 miles (13 kilometers), Cascade Creek reaches its end. It empties into a larger, beautiful lake called Jenny Lake.
The Creek's Journey
As Cascade Creek flows, it gathers more water. A few miles from where it starts, another stream joins it. This stream is called the South Fork Cascade Creek. When it joins, it makes Cascade Creek's flow much stronger.
Through Cascade Canyon
The creek then travels through a long, narrow valley. This valley is known as Cascade Canyon. The canyon is a popular spot for hikers. The creek winds its way through this scenic area.
Hidden Falls
