Cascade Valley is a special kind of community in Grant County, Washington, United States. It's called a census-designated place (CDP). This means it's an area that the government counts for population, but it's not officially a city or town with its own local government.
In 2020, about 4,332 people lived in Cascade Valley. This number has grown quite a bit over the years. In 2010, there were 2,246 residents, and in 2000, there were 1,811.
Where is Cascade Valley Located?
Cascade Valley is found in the eastern part of Grant County. It's right next to the city of Moses Lake. The community is bordered by Moses Lake city to its east and south. To its west, you'll find the actual Moses Lake body of water.
This area covers about 11.9 square kilometers (or 4.6 square miles). Most of this area is land, about 7.7 square kilometers (3.0 square miles). The rest, about 4.2 square kilometers (1.6 square miles), is water from Moses Lake.
Who Lives in Cascade Valley?
The people living in Cascade Valley come from many different backgrounds. In 2000, there were 1,811 people living here. The community had 665 households, which are groups of people living together in one home.
Many households were families, including married couples and single-parent families. About 36% of homes had children under 18 living with them. The average household had about 2.7 people.
The population included people of all ages. About 29% of the residents were under 18 years old. The median age, which is the middle age of all the people, was 33 years. This means half the people were younger than 33 and half were older.
