Cass Jackson is a former American football coach and player. He made history in 1973 when he became the head football coach at Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio. This was a big deal because he was one of the first African-American head football coaches at a college where most students were white.
Jackson later coached at Morris Brown College from 1975 to 1977. He also led the team at Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana from 1978 to 1980. Before becoming a coach, he played college football as a running back for San Jose State University in 1962 and 1963.
