Casstown is a small village in Miami County, Ohio, in the United States. In 2020, about 270 people lived there. It's part of the larger Dayton area, which is a big city area.

A Look Back at Casstown's History
Casstown started out with a different name! It was first called Trimmensburgh. A person named Mr. Trimmens planned the village in 1832, and it was named after him. Later, the name changed to Casstown. This new name honors Lewis Cass, who was an important American military officer and politician. A post office, where people send and receive mail, has been open in Casstown since 1846.

Learning in Casstown: Education
The Miami East High School district used to have its middle school located right in Casstown. However, things changed around 2002. The school district built a new building for students from kindergarten through 8th grade. After building this new school, the district sold all its other school buildings, except for the high school, to private buyers. This means the old middle school building in Casstown is now owned by a private group.
