Watersports for Everyone

Open Water Swimming
If you love swimming, you can enjoy open water swimming sessions. These are held in the main lake. There are three different swim courses marked out. You can choose from 400m, 750m, or 1500m. These sessions are great for all ages and skill levels.
Rowing for Champions
In 2006, a special lake was added called the Redgrave Pinsent Rowing Lake. This lake is very important for the GB Rowing team. They use it as their main training base. Sometimes, they also train on land at Bisham Abbey.
The Sonning Regatta is a rowing event held every two years. It usually takes place on the River Thames nearby. If the weather is bad, it can be moved to the Redgrave Pinsent Rowing Lake.

You can go Fishing in the public parts of the River Thames next to the lakes. You just need to have the right government fishing licences. Some of the lakes also offer paid fishing. These lakes are regularly stocked with many different kinds of fish.
