A Look Back: Cedar's History
Cedar used to be an important stop on the Missouri Pacific Railroad. It was a place where goods were shipped and trains made their stops.
The first post office in Cedar opened in 1871. For many years, it was known as Cedarville. The name was officially changed to Cedar in 1906.
