Cedar Grove is a place in Bay County, Florida, United States. It's known as an unincorporated area, which means it doesn't have its own city government. It's also a census-designated place, which is an area the government defines for counting people.
Cedar Grove used to be an official town. But in 2008, something special happened. The people living there voted to dissolve their town government. This was the first time in Florida's history that citizens voted to end their town's official status.
After the vote, the town had 90 days to hand over all its duties to the Bay County government. On October 22, 2008, the town officially stopped existing. Its police department closed, and all its property became part of Bay County.
In the 2020 census, 3,148 people lived in Cedar Grove. This was a bit less than the 3,397 people counted in the 2010 census. Cedar Grove is part of the larger Panama City area.
