Cedar Point is a small village in LaSalle County, Illinois, United States. It is part of the Ottawa Micropolitan Statistical Area. In 2020, about 266 people lived there. North of the village, there used to be a coal mine called the Cedar Point Mine. It operated from 1906 to 1924.

History of Cedar Point
The LaSalle Carbon Coal Company started the Number 5 Mine in 1906. This mine was important for the area. The village of Cedar Point officially became a village in 1922. The mine closed just two years later, in 1924.

The village covers a total area of about 1.02 square miles (2.64 square kilometers). All of this area is land, with no water.
