College Basketball Career
Simmons played college basketball for North Carolina State University. He was part of the NC State Wolfpack team. In his second year, he played really well. He scored about 11.8 points per game. He also grabbed 6.3 rebounds and blocked 2.5 shots per game.

In July 2013, Simmons signed a three-year deal with Olympiacos, a famous Greek club. He played there for a while. In November 2014, he left Olympiacos and returned to his former team, Enel Brindisi. Unfortunately, he got a knee injury that ended his season early.
Later Career Moves
Simmons continued to play for different teams. In August 2015, he signed with a Turkish team, but he left before playing a game. In January 2016, he had a short contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv in Israel. He also tried out for a team in Montenegro, but did not sign.

In November 2016, Simmons joined Kalev/Cramo in Estonia. He played well there and re-signed for another season in August 2017. Later, he moved to Japan. He played for San-en NeoPhoenix from 2018 to 2020. After that, he joined SeaHorses Mikawa in 2020, where he played until 2023.
