Center is a small village located in the state of Nebraska, United States. It's special because it's the "county seat" of Knox County. Being a county seat means it's where the main government offices for the county are located. In 2020, only 73 people lived there, making it a very small community!

A Look Back at Center

Center was officially planned out in 1901. It got its name because it's located close to the geographical middle of Knox County. Just a few years later, in 1904, Center officially became an incorporated village.

Center is found where two important roads meet: Nebraska Highway 84 and Nebraska Highway 13. Highway 84 runs east and west, while Highway 13 ends right in Center. A small stream called Bazile Creek also flows near the edge of the village.
