Centerville is right in the middle of Hickman County. It sits in a valley near the Duck River. This river flows west and eventually joins the Tennessee River. The town covers an area of about 27.87 square kilometers (about 10.76 square miles).
Getting Around Centerville
Tennessee State Route 100 is the main road that goes through Centerville. This road leads northeast about 55 miles (88 km) to Nashville, which is the state capital. It also goes southwest about 28 miles (45 km) to Linden.
Another road, Tennessee State Route 50, passes through the southern part of Centerville. It goes northwest about 17 miles (27 km) to Interstate 40 and southeast about 30 miles (48 km) to Columbia.
Centerville also has its own airport, called Centerville Municipal Airport. It is located about 3 miles (5 km) north of the town center.
