Châtelaudren (pronounced "sha-teh-LOH-dren") was once a small town, also known as a commune, in the northwest part of France. It is located in a region called Brittany, which is famous for its unique culture and beautiful coastlines. The town was part of the Côtes-d'Armor area, which is like a county or district in France.
On January 1, 2019, Châtelaudren joined with another nearby commune called Plouagat. Together, they formed a new, larger commune named Châtelaudren-Plouagat. This means Châtelaudren is no longer a separate commune on its own.
