Gallo is a unique language spoken in Brittany, a region in western France. It's one of the two main regional languages you'll find there.
Gallo is part of the Oïl language family, which means it developed from Latin, just like French. It's also a Romance language, a big group of languages that all came from Latin. You'll hear Gallo mostly in the eastern part of Brittany.
The other important language in Brittany is Breton. But here's a cool fact: Breton is a Celtic language, which is a completely different language family from Gallo! This makes Brittany a really interesting place for languages.
