Donovan Chad Mansoor, known simply as Chad, is a talented hip-hop artist from South Africa. He is a record producer, songwriter, and rapper. Chad released his first album, The Book of Chad, on April 16, 2016, which was also his 23rd birthday.

Early Life and Beginnings

Chad grew up in Pretoria, South Africa. When he was a teenager, his family moved to Midrand.

As a young person, Chad was very active. He even played soccer and represented South Africa on the national team for players under 14. They played in a big tournament in Zurich! He also started a Christian rap group when he was a teenager, but later decided to perform on his own.

Music Career Highlights

Chad began his music journey by releasing his first song called "Hola." This song featured Cassper Nyovest, who was his record label boss at the time.

Later, Chad decided to leave Family Tree Records because he had different ideas about his music. He then started his own record label called DCM Entertainment. He signed his best friend, Bonafide, and another rapper, Exe, to his new label. Chad is also now signed with ContraBanned, a new label started by the music group Locnville.

A cool fact about Chad's music is that his song "Wasted," which he made with Locnville, was featured on the popular TV show Lucifer. You can hear it in Episode 213 of the show!

On October 23, 2020, Chad released another studio album called Dreams Don’t Sleep.
