Chae Soo-bin is a popular South Korean actress. Her birth name is actually Bae Soo-bin, but she uses a stage name for her career. She became well-known for her role in the TV show Love in the Moonlight in 2016.
After that, she started getting main character roles in many other shows. Some of her famous series include The Rebel (2017), Strongest Deliveryman (2017), Where Stars Land (2018), and When the Phone Rings (2024).

Career
How Her Career Started
Chae Soo-bin's acting journey began in a surprising way. A casting director, someone who finds actors for movies and shows, discovered her on the street. Soon after, she signed with a company and started her career in 2014 with the movie My Dictator.
She decided to use the stage name "Chae Soo-bin" because her real name, Bae Soo-bin, was the same as another famous actor. In 2015, she acted in the TV drama House of Bluebird and the series Cheer Up!. Her great acting in these shows won her Best New Actress awards.
Becoming a Star
In 2016, Chae's popularity grew when she starred in the historical drama Love in the Moonlight. People loved her performance so much that she was nominated for an Excellence Award. In the same year, she also acted in a play called Blackbird and a web series called My Catman.
By 2017, she was ready for her first main role in a major TV series, The Rebel. The show was a success and made her even more famous. She then starred in more popular shows like Strongest Deliveryman and I'm Not a Robot.
In 2018, Chae starred in the drama Where Stars Land, which is set in an airport. Her acting won her an Excellence Award at the SBS Drama Awards. Because of the show's popularity, she and her co-star Lee Je-hoon were chosen as special ambassadors for Incheon International Airport. In 2019, she joined a new management company, King Kong by Starship.

Chae has continued to be very busy. In 2020, she starred in the romance drama A Piece of Your Mind. In 2021, she appeared in a series of music videos for the singer Kyuhyun. She also starred in the romantic comedy movie Sweet & Sour.
In 2022, she starred in the Disney+ series Rookie Cops and the adventure movie The Pirates: The Last Royal Treasure. Later that year, she appeared on the entertainment show Young Actors' Retreat with her co-stars from Love in the Moonlight. She also starred in the Netflix series The Fabulous.
In 2023, Chae returned to the stage to act in a play called Shakespeare in Love. She also released a song called "Yellow Circle" with the singer Jo Yu-ri.
Personal life
Chae is a Catholic. Her baptismal name, which is a special name given in her faith, is Lucia.
