Chaffey is a small place in Wisconsin, United States. It is known as an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that are not officially part of a city or village government. Chaffey is located in Douglas County, within a larger area called the town of Summit.
Chaffey is found south of a bigger city called Superior. It is also west of a village named Solon Springs. A main road, Wisconsin Highway 35, goes right through Chaffey. This makes it easy to travel to and from the community.
History of Chaffey
Chaffey got its name in October 1899. It was named after the very first person to be the postmaster there. His name was John Chaffey. A postmaster is the person in charge of a local post office.
