The Charles E. Conrad Mansion is a very old and beautiful house. It is located in Kalispell, Montana. This mansion was built in a special style called shingle-style Norman. It looks a bit like old French farmhouses.
A famous architect named Kirtland Cutter designed this amazing home. It was built for Charles E. Conrad. He was an important businessman in the late 1800s. Charles Conrad was also one of the first people to help start the town of Kalispell.
About the Mansion's Style
The mansion's design is inspired by old farmhouses from Normandy, a region in France. This style is called Norman architecture. It's not the same as the very old Romanesque style.
Building the house started in 1892. It took a few years to finish. The mansion was finally ready in November 1895.
