Playing for the Philadelphia Phillies
Charles Hudson was chosen by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 1981 baseball draft. He joined their main team, known as the major league team, in 1983. In his first year, called his rookie season, Hudson played in the 1983 World Series. He started two games in this important championship series.
Time with the New York Yankees
In 1987, Charles Hudson moved to the New York Yankees. This happened as part of a player trade, where the Yankees received Hudson. He played for the Yankees for two seasons. After his time with the Yankees, he was traded again. This time, he joined the Detroit Tigers.
