Charles Stone III (born in 1966) is an American film director. He is well-known for directing popular movies like Drumline, which starred Nick Cannon. He also directed Mr. 3000 with Bernie Mac and Paid in Full.

Charles Stone III also directed music videos. One of his famous music videos was "What They Do" by The Roots. This video cleverly showed many common ideas seen in rap videos.

He is also the person who created the very popular "Whassup?" advertisement for Budweiser in 1999. This ad became famous for its simple, catchy greeting. In October 2008, he directed a new version of this ad. This new version shared his thoughts on the government at that time and supported Barack Obama for president.

Charles Stone III graduated from Central High School in Philadelphia in 1984. His mother is Louise Davis Stone, and his father was Chuck Stone, a journalist and a Tuskegee Airman.
