Charles Venn (born June 24, 1973) is a British actor. He was also known by the names Chucky Venice and Chucky Venn. He is famous for playing characters like Ray Dixon in EastEnders and Jacob Masters in Casualty. He also played Curtis Alexander in Dream Team and Tremaine Gidigbi in Footballers' Wives. In 2018, he was a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing.

Charles Venn was born in Queens Park, London, England. He grew up in an area called the Mozart estate. When he was a boy, he loved athletics. He went to West London College to study performing arts.

Charles Venn started his acting career by taking on different roles. He used the last name Venice at first.
Early TV Roles
His big chance came in 2003. He was cast as Curtis Alexander in the football drama Dream Team. This show was on Sky One. He was first hired for only two episodes. But he became a regular cast member. He appeared in 98 episodes. His character was written out of the show in 2005.
The next year, Venn joined another football drama. He played Tremaine Gidigbi in the last series of Footballers' Wives.
Film Appearances
In late 2006, Venn got a role in the horror movie sequel Return to House on Haunted Hill. He played a character named Warren. He also appeared as Walter in Wrong Turn 3: Left for Dead. He had a small role as Agent Hammond in Bourne Ultimatum. He was also a bodyguard in The Dark Knight. You can also see him in the music video "Twisted" by Fredi Kruga.
Other TV Shows and Stage Work
Venn was a guest star in an episode of Little Miss Jocelyn in January 2008. He also appeared on an episode of Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List. In this episode, Kathy visited the UK and went on a date with him.
He performed in a play called The Brothers by Angie Le Mar. This play was shown at the Hackney Empire several times starting in 2005. MTV Base showed it on TV in March 2009.
Joining Popular Soaps
In November 2011, Venn joined the cast of the BBC One soap opera EastEnders. He played Ray Dixon, who was the father of Morgan Jackson-King. His first episode aired on January 10, 2012. He left the show on May 28, 2013.
In 2014, he played a firefighter in the Miranda Christmas Special.
On July 18, 2015, Venn started his role as Jacob Masters in the BBC One medical drama Casualty. He became a regular character on the show.
Strictly Come Dancing
In January 2018, Venn took part in a show called And They're Off! to help raise money for Sport Relief.
On August 21, 2018, it was announced that Charles Venn would be joining Strictly Come Dancing for its 2018 season. He danced with professional dancer Karen Clifton. They finished in 6th place in the competition.
