Charlie Will Bell III (born March 12, 1979) is an American basketball coach and former player. He is currently the head coach for Flint United in The Basketball League (TBL). Charlie played college basketball for Michigan State. He also spent eight seasons playing in the NBA, the top basketball league in the world.

High School Basketball
Charlie Bell played high school basketball in his hometown. He attended Flint Southwestern Academy High School in Flint, Michigan.
College Career Highlights
Charlie Bell had a fantastic college basketball career. He played for Michigan State University. During his time there, his team reached the NCAA Final Four three times in a row. He was even named Michigan State's Defensive Player of the Year every year he played. Charlie was a key player when the Spartans won the National Championship in 2000.
Professional Playing Journey
Charlie Bell was not chosen in the NBA draft. However, the Phoenix Suns signed him as a free agent in July 2001. He played five games for them. After leaving the Suns, he joined the Phoenix Eclipse in the ABA. He then signed with the Dallas Mavericks in January 2002. He played only two games for the Mavericks.
Playing in Europe
After his short time in the NBA, Charlie moved to Europe. He played in the Italian and Spanish Leagues. There, he became a well-known star. In March 2002, he joined Benetton Treviso in the Italian League. He helped them win the Italian League championship.
In the 2002–03 season, he played for Virtus (Kinder) Bologna. He then signed with Mabo Livorno in August 2003. In July 2004, he moved to Spain to play for Leche Rio Breogan Lugo in the Spanish League. He was named to the All-Spanish League First Team for the 2004–05 season. He was also the top scorer in the Spanish league.
Return to the NBA
Charlie Bell signed with the Milwaukee Bucks for the 2005–06 season. On March 28, 2006, he had an amazing game. He recorded his first career triple-double against the Suns. A triple-double means getting double-digit numbers in three stats. Charlie had 19 points, 13 assists, and 10 rebounds. He played in 59 games for the Bucks that season. He averaged 8.4 points, 2.2 assists, and 2.0 rebounds per game.
In the playoffs that year, Charlie led the Bucks in scoring in their first game. The Bucks lost the series to the Detroit Pistons. The next season (2006-07), Charlie played in all 82 games. He averaged 13 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists per game.
In 2007, the Miami Heat offered Charlie a contract. Even though he said he didn't want to play for Milwaukee, the Bucks decided to keep him. On June 22, 2010, Charlie was traded to the Golden State Warriors. His final NBA game was on February 22, 2011. In January 2012, he signed with Pepsi Caserta in Italy.
Coaching Career
After his playing career, Charlie Bell became a coach. On November 3, 2016, he was hired as an assistant coach for the Texas Legends. This team is part of the NBA Development League (now NBA G League). Later, he became an assistant coach for the Iowa Wolves.
On November 16, 2020, Charlie Bell became the first head coach for Flint United. This team plays in The Basketball League.
Off the Court
Charlie Bell is also known for a fun online video series. It's called "Hey Charlie, Do My Job!" In these videos, he tries out different jobs for a day. For example, he has worked at Wendy's and as an interior decorator. He also works as an Account Executive for UWM (United Wholesale Mortgage).
