Chen Bolin (born on August 27, 1983), also known as Wilson Chen, is a well-known actor from Taiwan. He is famous for his roles in movies like Blue Gate Crossing (2002), Buddha Mountain (2010), and The Continent (2014). He also starred in the popular TV show In Time with You (2011).

Early Life and School

Chen Bolin was born on August 27, 1983. When he was in high school, he appeared on a Taiwanese TV show called Red Versus White. People noticed him because he looked a bit like another famous actor, Takeshi Kaneshiro. He later studied at Jinwen University of Science and Technology.

Acting Career

Chen Bolin first became famous with his very first movie, Blue Gate Crossing. This film was shown at the Cannes Film Festival, which is a big international movie event. The movie received many good reviews.

He also had supporting roles in movies from Hong Kong. These roles helped him become known in other places beyond Taiwan. Some of these films include The Twins Effect II, A Chinese Tall Story, and Kung Fu Dunk.

In 2011, Chen Bolin became even more popular. He was nominated for the Best Actor award at the Deauville Asian Film Festival for his acting in the movie Buddha Mountain. In the same year, he won the Golden Bell Award for Best Actor for his amazing performance in the hit TV drama In Time with You.

On January 6, 2012, Chen Bolin was on a Taiwanese game show called All Pass. He was the only person to win the grand prize of NT$100,000. He answered a difficult question correctly, even though he was not sure at first.

In 2013, Chen won an "Outstanding Performance" award for the romance movie Snowfall in Taipei. The next year, he starred in a comedy movie about a road trip called The Continent. This movie was directed by Han Han.

In 2015, Chen Bolin started working in the Korean entertainment industry. That same year, he starred in 20 Once Again. This movie was a Chinese version of a popular Korean film called Miss Granny. It earned a lot of money and set a new record for movies made together by Korea and China.

After that, Chen Bolin acted in two more movies made with Korea. These were the comedy film Bad Guys Always Die with Son Ye-jin, and the romantic comedy Life Risking Romance with Ha Ji-won.

In 2016, he joined the Chinese version of a TV show called We Got Married. In this show, celebrities pretend to be a couple. He was paired with Song Ji-hyo. In the same year, he also appeared in the Korean TV drama Monster.

In 2017, Chen Bolin starred in The Dreaming Man, a romantic comedy movie produced by Disney.
