Cheril Clarke's novel, Intimate Chaos, was turned into a play. This play has been performed in different cities. It was shown in Bordentown, New Jersey and Plainfield, New Jersey. It was also performed twice in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The play Intimate Chaos was even translated into Spanish. It was performed in Puerto Rico under the name Caos Intimo.

Her play, Asylum, won an award in 2012. It received the Audience Award at the Downtown Urban Theater Festival in New York. This festival is now called the Downtown Urban Arts Festival. Asylum was also a runner-up for the best play award.
