A cherry is a tasty fruit that grows on a tree or a bush. It's part of a plant group called Prunus. Cherries are usually bright red and have a single seed inside. They often taste a little bit sour, but they are super yummy in cakes, ice cream, or baked into a pie. Cherries also give you important Vitamin B to help your body stay healthy. In Japan, the Yamagata region is famous for growing lots of cherries.
