Cheslor Jesly Cuthbert (born November 16, 1992) is a professional baseball player from Nicaragua. He plays as a third baseman. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Kansas City Royals and Chicago White Sox. Currently, he plays for the Samanes de Aragua in the Venezuelan Major League.

Early Life and Language
Cheslor Cuthbert was born and grew up on the Corn Islands in Nicaragua. His family spoke a language called English Creole. This is different from Spanish, which is the main language in Nicaragua. Cheslor had to learn Spanish while he was training with the Nicaraguan National Baseball team.
Baseball Career Highlights
Starting with the Royals
The Kansas City Royals signed Cheslor in 2009. He was an international free agent. He received a signing bonus of $1.35 million. This was a lot of money for a young player. He started playing professionally in 2010.
Before the 2012 season, Baseball America said he was the 84th best young player in baseball. After the 2012 season, he played for the Nicaraguan national baseball team. This was for a qualifying tournament for the 2013 World Baseball Classic.
Moving Up in the Minor Leagues
The Royals added Cheslor to their main roster list in 2013. He started the 2014 season with the Northwest Arkansas Naturals. This team is in the Double-A league. He sometimes played first base and second base too.
In 2015, he played for the Omaha Storm Chasers. This is a Triple-A team. He also represented the Royals in the 2015 All-Star Futures Game. This game features top young players.
Making it to Major League Baseball

Life Outside Baseball
Cheslor Cuthbert has a son and a daughter. He lives on Corn Island during the baseball offseason. He also has a chicken farm there. He has more than 150 roosters and 80 hens. Cheslor's younger cousin, Rodney Theophile, is also a baseball player. He is a pitcher for the Washington Nationals organization.
