Chicón is a majestic mountain located in the Urubamba mountain range in the Andes of Peru. It stands about 5,530 meters (18,143 feet) tall. The name Chicón might come from the Quechua language word ch'iqu, which means "workable stone."

This impressive peak is found in the Cusco Region, specifically in the Calca Province (Calca District) and the Urubamba Province (Urubamba District). It is situated to the northeast of the town of Yucay. You can also find it southeast of another mountain called Pumahuanca and southwest of Sirihuani.

The southern part of Chicón is also known by another name: Illahuamán. This section of the mountain is part of the Yucay District. It reaches a height of about 5,060 meters (16,601 feet).
