Pumahuanca is a tall mountain located in Peru. It is also known as Pumahuanja or Yucay. The name "Pumahuanca" likely comes from the Quechua words puma (meaning cougar) and wank'a (meaning rock). So, it could mean "puma rock."

This impressive mountain stands in the Cusco Region of Peru. It sits right on the border between two provinces: Calca and Urubamba. You can find it northwest of the town of Urubamba. It is also located northwest of another mountain called Chicón and west of Capacsaya.
