Chikashi Masuda (増田 誓志, Masuda Chikashi, born 19 June 1985) is a Japanese former professional football player. He played as a midfielder, which is a player who helps both defend and attack on the field. He was also a member of the Japan national team.

Early Career and Kashima Antlers

Masuda started his youth career at Hosho High School from 2001 to 2003. After high school, he joined Kashima Antlers, a well-known club in Japan, in 2004. He played for Kashima Antlers for many years, from 2004 to 2012. During his time there, he played in 155 matches and scored 12 goals.

Loan Spells and Moves Abroad

In 2010, Masuda went on loan to Montedio Yamagata for a season. A loan means a player temporarily plays for another team. After his long spell at Kashima, he moved to Ulsan Hyundai in South Korea, where he played from 2013 to 2016. He also had another loan spell in Japan with Omiya Ardija in 2014.

Later, in 2017, he played for Al-Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. He then returned to Japan to play for Shimizu S-Pulse from 2017 to 2019. His final club was Seoul E-Land in South Korea, where he played on loan in 2019.
