Christopher Donnell King (born July 24, 1969) is a former American professional basketball player. He is best known for his time playing in the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Chris King's College Basketball Journey
Chris King was born in Newton Grove, North Carolina. He started his basketball journey playing for the Hobbton High School Wildcats. After high school, he went on to play college basketball at Wake Forest University. He was a key player for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons from 1988 to 1992.
Chris King's Professional Basketball Career
Chris King began his professional career after being chosen in the 1992 NBA draft. The Seattle SuperSonics picked him in the second round. He was the 45th player chosen overall.
Playing in the NBA
King played 15 games for the Seattle SuperSonics during the 1993–94 season. He even made his only NBA playoff appearance with them.
Later, he joined the Vancouver Grizzlies for their very first season in 1995–96. This was a big year for him. He played in 80 out of 82 games and started in 66 of them. That season, he averaged 7.9 points and 3.6 rebounds per game.
One memorable game was against the Utah Jazz. King scored 21 points and grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds. In another exciting game, he helped the Grizzlies win their home opener. He tipped in a missed shot at the buzzer, leading to an overtime victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
His last time playing in the NBA was during the 1999 lockout season. He played eight games with the Utah Jazz.
Playing Overseas
After his time in the NBA, Chris King continued his basketball career internationally. He played for many teams across Europe and other parts of the world.
