Christopher Donnell King (born July 24, 1969) is an American former professional basketball player. He played in the famous National Basketball Association (NBA).

Chris King's College Basketball Journey
Chris King started his basketball journey in his hometown of Newton Grove, North Carolina. He played high school basketball for the Hobbton High School Wildcats. After high school, he went on to play college basketball at Wake Forest University. He was a key player for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons from 1988 to 1992.
Chris King's Professional Basketball Career
Joining the NBA
Chris King was chosen by the Seattle SuperSonics in the 1992 NBA draft. He was the 45th player picked overall. King played 15 games for the Sonics during the 1993–94 season. He even made his only NBA playoff appearance with them.
Playing for the Vancouver Grizzlies
King later joined the Vancouver Grizzlies for their very first season in 1995–96. He played in 80 out of 82 games that season. He even started in 66 of those games! During this time, he averaged about 7.9 points and 3.6 rebounds per game.
Memorable Moments with the Grizzlies
In one game against the Utah Jazz, King grabbed an NBA career-high of 14 rebounds. He also scored 21 points in that game. In another exciting moment, King made a game-winning shot at the buzzer. This shot helped his team beat the Minnesota Timberwolves in overtime during their home opener.
Final NBA Appearances and International Play
King's last time playing in the NBA was during the 1999 lockout season. He played eight games with the Utah Jazz. After leaving the NBA, Chris King continued his basketball career. He played for many teams across Europe and other parts of the world until 2008.
