About Chris Mary Francine Whittle
Chris Mary Francine Whittle was born in Antwerp, Belgium. She loved music from a young age. She studied at the Royal Conservatoire in Antwerp. There, she won many awards for her musical skills. One special award was the Albert de Vleeschower prize for her compositions.
She also traveled to France to study music. She learned from a famous teacher, Alfred Cortot, in Paris. After her studies, Chris Whittle spent 20 years making music. She toured many countries as a pianist. She performed in Belgium, France, Germany, and other places.
Later, she became very interested in the harpsichord. This is an old musical instrument similar to a piano. She studied it in Amsterdam with Gustav Leonhardt. Chris Whittle also taught music at a school in Wynegem, Belgium. She gave many concerts playing the harpsichord. She married Luc Jageneau, who built harpsichords.
