Hans Christer Sjögren (born 6 April 1950) is a famous Swedish singer, songwriter, and musician. He is most well-known as the main singer for the popular dansband group called Vikingarna. Dansband is a type of Swedish dance music.

Early Life and Music
Christer Sjögren was born in Hagfors, Sweden, on April 6, 1950. His parents were Eivor and Hans Sjögren. He grew up with a love for music.
Joining Vikingarna
In 1978, Christer Sjögren became the lead singer of the band Vikingarna. The band's previous singer, Stefan Borsch, had left. Christer was a bit unsure at first, but he took on the role.
His first album with Vikingarna was "Kramgoa låtar 7". It came out in 1979. Vikingarna became a very successful band with Christer as their singer.
Solo Career and Melodifestivalen
After many years with Vikingarna, Christer also started a solo career. He released many albums on his own.
In 2008, he took part in Melodifestivalen 2008. This is a big music contest in Sweden. The winner gets to represent Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest. Christer sang the song "I Love Europe". He made it to the final round, which was held in the Globe Arena. He finished in 9th place in the final.
In 2018, Christer appeared on the TV show Så mycket bättre. On this show, different artists sing each other's songs.
Life Outside Music
Christer Sjögren is married to Birgitta Sjögren. Since the early 2000s, they have lived in Hammarö, which is a town near Karlstad, Sweden.

Christer Sjögren has received honors for his music. In 2005, he was given the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit. This is a special award from Norway.
