Christian Eyenga Moenge, born on June 22, 1989, is a professional basketball player from Congo. He plays as a small forward for the Lobos Plateados de la BUAP in Mexico's top basketball league, the LNBP. Christian was chosen by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2009 NBA draft, being the 30th player picked overall. Before joining the NBA, he played for a Spanish team called Prat.

Christian Eyenga's Basketball Journey
Playing in the NBA
Christian Eyenga played in the 2010 NBA Summer League for the Cleveland Cavaliers. After that, he officially signed a two-year contract with the Cavaliers on July 23, 2010. On November 18, he was sent to the Cavaliers' minor league team, the Erie BayHawks. This is common for new players to get more playing time.
On January 2, he was called back by the Cavaliers. He played his first NBA game on the same day against the Dallas Mavericks. In that game, he scored 4 points and grabbed 3 rebounds.
Later, on March 15, 2012, Eyenga was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. He was traded along with another player, Ramon Sessions. This trade involved other players and a future draft pick.
On August 10, 2012, Eyenga was traded again, this time to the Orlando Magic. However, the Magic decided to release him on October 23, 2012. After that, he was picked by the Texas Legends in the NBA D-League, which is another minor league for the NBA.
In January 2013, Eyenga left the Legends to play in China. But he returned to the Legends in February 2013 after playing there for a month.
Playing Overseas
In October 2011, when the NBA had a temporary break (called a lockout), Christian Eyenga went to Spain. He signed to play for Joventut Badalona during that time.
In January 2013, he signed with a team in China called Shanxi Zhongyu. He stayed there for only one month before returning to America.
On July 25, 2013, Eyenga moved to Poland and signed with Stelmet Zielona Góra. A year later, on August 4, 2014, he signed a one-year deal with another Polish team, Turów Zgorzelec. However, he was released by that club in September 2014.
On November 12, 2014, he signed a one-season contract with an Italian team, Pallacanestro Varese. The next year, on July 10, 2015, he signed with the Italian champions, Dinamo Sassari, for the 2015–16 season. On February 5, 2016, he left Dinamo Sassari and joined Auxilium CUS Torino for the rest of that season.
Christian Eyenga returned to Pallacanestro Varese on August 16, 2016, for the 2016–17 season. On May 14, 2017, he signed with the Spanish club Unicaja for the end of their season.
On July 23, 2017, Eyenga signed with Fuenlabrada for the 2017–18 season in Spain. At the end of that season, he won an award called the ACB Most Spectacular Player. This award is given to the player who makes the most exciting plays.
During the 2019–20 season, he averaged 9.4 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. On August 4, 2020, Eyenga signed again with Fuenlabrada. He signed a new two-year deal with the team on July 3, 2021.
More recently, on November 12, 2023, he signed with Lille Métropole in France.
Playing for His Home Country
Christian Eyenga often plays for the DR Congo national basketball team. He represents his country in international basketball tournaments. For example, during the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup qualification games, he played very well. He averaged 14.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game for his national team.
