Ramon Darrell Sessions, born on April 11, 1986, is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball for the Nevada Wolf Pack. During his college years, he was recognized as a top new player and later as one of the best in his conference. He was chosen by the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2007 NBA draft. Ramon played for eight different teams over 11 years in the NBA. In 2018, he played basketball in Israel for a short time.

High School Achievements
Ramon Sessions was a star player at Myrtle Beach High School in South Carolina. He was named the best player in his state's 3A division three times. In his second year of high school, he led his team to win the 3A State Championship.
College Career at Nevada
Sessions played for the Nevada team for three seasons, from 2004 to 2007. On average, he scored 8.8 points, made 4.9 assists, and grabbed 4.2 rebounds per game. He is second in his school's history for total assists (478) and ninth for steals (113). As a freshman, he set a school record with 166 assists. He was also named to the WAC All-Newcomer Team. In his junior year (2006–07), he was chosen for the Second Team All-WAC. He was also a finalist for the Bob Cousy Award, which honors the best point guard in college basketball.
Professional Basketball Journey
Starting with the Milwaukee Bucks (2007–2009)
The Milwaukee Bucks picked Ramon Sessions as the 56th player in the 2007 NBA draft on June 28, 2007. He spent some time playing for the Tulsa 66ers in the NBA Development League to gain experience. He played well there and was called back to the Bucks team in February 2008. Ramon made his first NBA appearance on March 9, 2008.
He quickly showed his skills. On April 14, he scored 20 points and made a record-breaking 24 assists against the Chicago Bulls. This was the first time a Bucks player had 20 points and 20 assists in one game. His 24 assists were also the third-highest by a rookie in NBA history. He finished the 2007–08 season strong, earning the Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month award for April.
In the 2008–09 season, Sessions continued to impress. He scored 10 or more points in 53 games. He even scored a career-high 44 points and had 12 assists against the Detroit Pistons on February 7. He also achieved his only "triple-double" (scoring double digits in points, assists, and rebounds) on April 1 against the Los Angeles Lakers. He often led the Bucks in assists and steals.
Moving to the Minnesota Timberwolves (2009–2010)
After his time with the Bucks, Ramon Sessions signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves on September 14, 2009. He played in all 82 games for the Timberwolves in the 2009–10 season. He averaged 8.2 points and 3.1 assists per game. He scored 10 or more points in 31 games, including a season-high 23 points against the Phoenix Suns.
Playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers (2010–2012)
On July 26, 2010, Sessions was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers. In the 2010–11 season, he had his best scoring year, averaging 13.3 points per game. He also set personal bests for shooting accuracy. He had several games with both high points and assists, including a season-high 32 points against the Los Angeles Lakers. In February 2012, he had a season-high 24 points and 13 assists in a win against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Short Time with the Los Angeles Lakers (2012)
Sessions joined the Los Angeles Lakers on March 15, 2012, after a trade. He played well for the Lakers, scoring 23 points and making nine assists in a win against the Golden State Warriors on April 1, 2012. He also played in 12 playoff games for the Lakers.
Joining the Charlotte Bobcats (2012–2014)

On July 13, 2012, Sessions signed with the Charlotte Bobcats. In the 2012–13 season, he averaged a career-high 14.4 points per game. He scored 10 or more points in his first 12 games with the Bobcats. He scored a season-high 27 points against the Atlanta Hawks in January 2013.
Second Time with the Milwaukee Bucks (2014)
Ramon Sessions returned to the Milwaukee Bucks on February 20, 2014, through another trade. He continued to show his skill at the free throw line, making all 11 of his attempts in a game against the Brooklyn Nets. He also scored a season-high 28 points in a game against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Time with the Sacramento Kings (2014–2015)
On September 22, 2014, Sessions signed with the Sacramento Kings.
Playing for the Washington Wizards (2015–2016)

Sessions was traded to the Washington Wizards on February 19, 2015. He played for the Wizards for one and a half seasons, often coming off the bench. In the 2015–16 season, he played in all 82 games and averaged 9.9 points per game.
Second Time with the Charlotte Hornets (2016–2017)
On July 7, 2016, Sessions signed with the Charlotte Hornets, returning to the team for a second time. He played in the first 50 games of the season before a knee injury ended his season early.
With the New York Knicks (2017–2018)
Sessions signed with the New York Knicks on August 8, 2017. He played 13 games before being released by the team in January 2018.
Third Time with the Washington Wizards (2018)
Ramon Sessions returned to the Washington Wizards for a third time, signing a short contract on February 23, 2018. He later signed for the rest of the season.
Playing Overseas with Maccabi Tel Aviv (2018)
On November 3, 2018, Sessions joined Maccabi Tel Aviv, an Israeli team that plays in the EuroLeague. This was his first time playing professional basketball outside of the United States. However, he left the team on November 20, 2018, for personal reasons.
After Playing Basketball
After his playing career, Ramon Sessions continued to be involved in basketball. On October 6, 2019, he joined the New Orleans Pelicans to work in their basketball operations department. Sessions has also become a certified agent for basketball players. He started his own company called On Time Agency (OTA). He is currently advising young basketball talents, including Jordan Walsh, a highly-rated player committed to Arkansas.
