About Christian Venge
Christian has a vision impairment, but this has not stopped him from becoming a champion! In 2013, he received a special award called the Real Orden al Mérito Deportivo. This award is like a gold medal for his amazing achievements in sports.
Paralympic Cycling Star
Christian Venge has competed in many Paralympic Games, showing his skill and determination. He has won five Paralympic medals in total, which is a fantastic accomplishment!
Early Paralympic Success
- At the 2000 Summer Paralympics in Sydney, he won a bronze medal. He finished third in the blind men's Tandem Individual Pursuit track race.
- He continued his success at the 2004 Summer Paralympics in Athens. There, he earned a silver medal in the men's blind Combined Road race.
Gold Medals and More
- The 2008 Summer Paralympics in Beijing were very successful for Christian. He won a gold medal in the Tandem Time Trial Road race. He also earned a silver medal in the Tandem Individual Pursuit track race.
- At the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London, Christian won another gold medal! This time, it was in the Road Trial race. For the 2012 Games, his cycling partner, known as his pilot, was David Llaurado.
Recent Competitions
Christian also represented Spain at the 2020 Summer Paralympics held in Tokyo, Japan. He continues to be a strong competitor in the world of para-cycling.

In 2009, Christian Venge and his pilot, David Llaurado, won a gold medal. This was at the IPC Road Cycling World Championships, showing they were the best in the world.
Christian is from the Catalan region of Spain. In 2012, he received a scholarship from the Plan ADO. This program helps support Spanish athletes.
