Christine Joan Taylor Stiller (born July 30, 1971) is an American actress. She is well-known for playing Marcia Brady in The Brady Bunch Movie and A Very Brady Sequel. She also appeared in popular movies like The Craft, The Wedding Singer, Zoolander, and Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story. On television, she had roles in shows such as Hey Dude, Arrested Development, and Search Party.
Early Life and School
Christine Taylor was born on July 30, 1971, in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Her mother, Joan, was a homemaker, and her father, Albert E. "Skip" Taylor III, owned a security company. Christine grew up in a nearby town called Wescosville, Pennsylvania, and has a younger brother. She attended St. Thomas More School and then Allentown Central Catholic High School.
Acting Career
Christine Taylor began her acting career in 1989 on the Nickelodeon TV show Hey Dude. In this show, she played a lifeguard named Melody Hanson. She continued in this role until 1991. During this time, she also made guest appearances on other TV shows and in films.
In 1995, Christine was cast as Marcia Brady in The Brady Bunch Movie. She later played the same role in A Very Brady Sequel. After The Brady Bunch Movie, Taylor made several funny guest appearances on the TV series Ellen. She also got a main role in the TV series Party Girl, which was based on a 1995 movie. She also made guest appearances on popular sitcoms like Seinfeld and Friends.
In 1996, she played Laura Lizzie in the horror film The Craft. She also played Drew Barrymore's cousin, Holly Sullivan, in the 1998 comedy The Wedding Singer. In 2001, she starred with her husband Ben Stiller in the movie Zoolander. In 2005, Taylor was a guest star on two episodes of Arrested Development, playing a character named Sally Sitwell. The next year, she appeared in an episode of NBC's My Name Is Earl.
Christine Taylor has also appeared with Mandy Moore in both Dedication and License to Wed. In 2010, Taylor was a guest star in Hannah Montana Forever. She also appeared in the Hallmark Channel Christmas movie Farewell Mr. Kringle.
In 2013, Taylor played Sally Sitwell again in two episodes of Arrested Development's fourth season. She also guest starred on Elementary in 2017. From 2016 to 2022, Taylor had a regular role as Gail on Search Party. In 2021, Taylor joined the cast of High Desert, an Apple TV+ series. In 2023, she reunited with her Hey Dude co-star David Lascher for a podcast called Hey Dude...The 90s Called!.
Personal Life
In May 2000, Christine Taylor married Ben Stiller. They first met in 1999 while working on a show called Heat Vision and Jack. Taylor and Stiller have appeared together in several movies. These include Zoolander, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, Tropic Thunder, and Zoolander 2. They also appeared together in TV shows like Arrested Development and Curb Your Enthusiasm. They live in Westchester County, New York, and have a daughter and a son. Both Taylor and Stiller are vegetarians.
After 17 years of marriage, Taylor and Stiller separated in 2017. However, they later got back together. This happened after they lived together during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown.
