Christoffer Tobias Andersson, born on October 22, 1978, is a former professional football player from Sweden. He played as a defender and midfielder. Christoffer is best known for his many years with Helsingborgs IF. He played over 500 official games for them! He also played for other teams like Lillestrøm SK in Norway and Hannover 96 in Germany. His career as a player lasted from 1998 to 2016. From 2000 to 2006, he also played 24 games for the Swedish national team.

Playing for Clubs
Starting at Helsingborgs IF
Christoffer Andersson began his football journey at Nybro IF. In 1996, he joined Helsingborgs IF. He quickly helped his new team win the 1997–98 Svenska Cupen (a big cup competition) in his first season. The next year, in 1999, he was part of the Helsingborg team that won the 1999 Allsvenskan, which is the top Swedish football league.
In 2000, Christoffer played a key role in helping Helsingborg qualify for the 2000–01 UEFA Champions League. This is one of the biggest club competitions in Europe! He even scored a goal against BATE Borisov. Then, Helsingborg surprised everyone by beating the famous Italian team Inter Milan. In the group stage, Christoffer played in five games against strong teams like Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain. In 2001, he was named "Årets HIF:are," which means Helsingborg's Player of the Year.
Playing in Norway and Germany
In January 2004, Christoffer left Helsingborgs IF. He moved to Norway and signed a three-year contract with Lillestrøm SK. After two and a half years in Norway, he moved to Germany. He joined Hannover 96, a team in the German Bundesliga, which is Germany's top league. However, he didn't get to play much there, only appearing in 7 league games.
Back to Helsingborgs IF
In the summer of 2007, Christoffer returned to his former club, Helsingborgs IF. He quickly made a big difference for the team. He was very important in helping Helsingborg reach the Round of 32 in the 2007–08 UEFA Cup (another big European competition). He even scored the winning goal in an exciting 3-2 away victory against Galatasaray in Turkey. In 2008, he was once again named "Årets HIF:are."
During his second time at Helsingborg, Christoffer won many trophies. He helped the team win the Svenska Cupen in 2010 and 2011. They also won the 2011 Allsvenskan league title. On top of that, they won the Svenska Supercupen (a super cup) in 2011 and 2012.
Later Clubs and Retirement
Before the 2015 season, Christoffer signed with Halmstads BK. Then, for the 2016 season, he returned to Helsingborgs IF for a third time! Christoffer retired from playing at the end of that season. He had played a total of 350 Allsvenskan games, which is a club record for Helsingborg. He played over 500 official games for the club in total.
Playing for Sweden
Before playing for the main Swedish national team, Christoffer Andersson played for the Sweden U19 and U21 teams. He made his first appearance for the senior Swedish national team on January 31, 2000. This was in a friendly game against Denmark. He came on as a substitute in the 74th minute.
He played in the qualifying games for the 2002 FIFA World Cup, UEFA Euro 2004, and the 2006 FIFA World Cup. However, he wasn't chosen for the final squad in any of these big tournaments. Christoffer played his 24th and last game for Sweden in a friendly match against Ireland on March 1, 2006.
After Playing: Coaching
After he stopped playing, Christoffer Andersson started a coaching career. In 2016, he coached the U17 (under 17) team for Helsingborgs IF. In November 2016, he became the assistant manager for the club's main team. He worked as an assistant manager for two and a half years. On January 14, 2022, Christoffer became the manager for Falkenbergs FF.
