Christophe Beaugrand, born on January 2, 1977, is a well-known French TV presenter and journalist. He has hosted many popular shows and worked for major TV channels in France.
Early Life and Education
Christophe Beaugrand grew up in Massy, a town in France. When he was a teenager, he enjoyed writing for TV shows and comic books for a children's magazine.
In 1992, he started his career in media by working in radio. He began as a radio presenter at a local station in Essonne, then moved to Ado FM. At the same time, he studied journalism at CELSA in Neuilly-sur-Seine. In 1988, he took part in a talent show hosted by Jacques Martin and was one of the finalists.
After his studies, Beaugrand graduated from the IUT de Journalisme in Bordeaux in 1999. He then worked as a freelance writer for newspapers like France Soir. He also contributed to TV programs such as Éconoclaste on La Cinquième, Télématin on France 2, and Home Cinema on TPS Star.
Television Career
In 1999, Christophe Beaugrand joined the news channel LCI as a reporter and editor. By 2000, he was one of the fill-in presenters for the channel. He also presented the weekend news. Later, he created LCI est à vous, a news show that featured the most-read articles from the LCI website. From 2004 to 2006, he co-hosted Le Set, a daily culture show on Pink TV.
In 2006, he started presenting a weekly segment called "People Police" on 50 Minutes Inside on TF1. This segment covered news about famous people. In September 2007, he moved to the Canal+ Group. There, he presented "Le JT des médias" every morning on La Matinale on Canal+. He also hosted I>Net, a show about the Internet, on the news channel I>Télé. In early 2008, he co-hosted a shorter version of La Matinale.
From September 2008, while still working on La Matinale, he presented the "Mediaplanet" section every Saturday on + Clair. In July 2009, he left Canal+ to return to TF1. He became a columnist for 10 h le Mag and 50 minutes inside. He also hosted L'After news on LCI, a weekly talk show about culture and news. With Ariane Brodier, he co-presented the music reality show Pop Job on Virgin 17.
Since October 2013, he has been presenting the entertainment program Confessions intimes on NT1.
