Christopher Clare Showerman (born June 24, 1971) is an American actor and producer. He is well-known for playing the character George in the movie George of the Jungle 2, which came out in 2003.

Christopher Showerman was born in Jackson, Michigan, on June 24, 1971. He grew up in Stockbridge, Michigan, and went to Stockbridge High School. His family has Dutch roots.
How He Started Acting
After studying music at Michigan State University, Christopher decided to become an actor. He had small parts in movies like Starship Troopers (1997) and Best in Show (2000). His first main role was in a movie called Dumped in 2000.
His biggest chance came in 2003. He was chosen to play George in George of the Jungle 2. He took over the role from actor Brendan Fraser.
Christopher's Acting Career
Christopher Showerman has acted in many films. Some of these include Sea of Fear, Idol, and Big Game. He also appeared in Hole in One and A Night at the Silent Movie Theater. He even wrote, produced, and directed a film called Radio America.
On television, he has been in popular shows. These include Jack of All Trades, The OC, and CSI Miami. He also had roles in Supergirl and Scorpion.
Playing George of the Jungle
In 2003, Disney decided to make a sequel to George of the Jungle. The first movie's star, Brendan Fraser, chose not to return. So, Disney made George of the Jungle 2 directly for home video. Christopher Showerman was asked to play the funny and strong character of George.
Becoming a Producer
In 2006, Christopher Showerman started his own film company. It was called Shorris Film, and he created it with Clint Morris. Their first movie was a western with a supernatural twist called Between the Sand and the Sky.
His company also produced Radio America. Christopher not only produced this film but also co-starred in it, directed it, and wrote the script. Later, in 2012, Shorris Film helped produce another movie called Bristled: The Howl Chronicles.
