Early Life and First Roles
Christopher Showerman was born in Jackson, Michigan, on June 24, 1971. He grew up in Stockbridge, Michigan, and went to Stockbridge High School. His family has Dutch roots.
After studying music at Michigan State University, Christopher decided to become an actor. He started with small parts in movies like Starship Troopers (1997) and Best in Show (2000). His first main role was in the movie Dumped (2000).
Becoming George of the Jungle
Christopher got his big chance in 2003. He was chosen to play George in George of the Jungle 2. This movie was a sequel, meaning it continued the story of the first George of the Jungle film. The first movie's star, Brendan Fraser, did not return for the sequel. So, Christopher Showerman took on the role of the jungle hero. This movie was released straight to video, not in movie theaters.
Christopher's Acting Career
Christopher Showerman has acted in many films and television shows. Some of his movies include Sea of Fear, Idol, and Big Game. He also appeared in Radio America, which he helped write, produce, and direct.
