A Look Inside the Church
For about 300 years, the Church of St Michael and All Angels was the special burial place for the Devereux family. Their home, called Nantcribba, was also located within the church's parish area.
Inside the church, you'll find a beautiful marble font. A font is a special bowl used for baptisms. This particular font is oval-shaped and was a gift from Richard Edmunds in 1794.
Church History and Design
The church building was made bigger in 1830 to welcome more people. The person who designed this enlargement was an architect named Thomas Nicholson.
The church also features stunning stained-glass windows. These colorful windows were designed by a famous artist, Edward Burne-Jones. His work adds a lot of beauty to the church.
