Chynna Marie Rogers (born August 19, 1994 – died April 8, 2020), known simply as Chynna, was an American rapper, model, and disc jockey. She began her career early, signing with a modeling agency at just 14 years old. Chynna was also connected with the music group ASAP Mob.

Early Life and Education
Chynna Rogers was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She attended Julia R. Masterman School in her hometown. From a young age, Chynna loved to write. In middle school, she thought about writing a book. This interest grew in high school, leading her to write full songs. After high school, she recorded her first song, "Selfie," in a friend's basement.
Music Career and Releases
Chynna started modeling at age 14 and continued until she was 16. However, her true passion was always music. She decided to focus on her music career instead of going to college. Her mother, Wendy Payne, passed away in 2017.
Chynna released her first singles, "Selfie" in 2013 and "Glen Coco" in 2014. Her first collection of songs, called an EP, was I'm Not Here, This Isn't Happening, released in 2015. On her birthday, August 19, 2016, she released another EP titled "Ninety." The next year, she put out the EP Music 2 Die 2. Her last EP, In Case I Die First, came out in 2019.
Chynna often worked with producers like Cloud Atrium, Heaven in Stereo, and 5TH DMNSN. A song called "stupkid" was released after her death, on what would have been her 26th birthday in August 2020. Her first full music album, ... Opera, was released after she passed away on August 20, 2021. This album included other artists like Junglepussy, Kur, and A$AP ANT.
Musical Influences
Chynna was inspired by many different types of music. She grew up listening to hip-hop. She also loved emo-rock bands such as Fall Out Boy, Panic! at the Disco, and Paramore. Other rock and metal bands like Alesana and Meshuggah also influenced her. Her music often explored deep feelings and experiences. Chynna followed Buddhism as a way of life. She also believed in the power of crystals and changing energies.
Personal Life
From 2014 to 2016, Chynna was in a relationship with New Jersey rapper Dash.
Death
Chynna Rogers was found unresponsive at her home in Philadelphia on April 8, 2020. Her passing, while her career was growing, was reported by many news outlets.
