Cidral is a small area, like a neighborhood, in the town of San Sebastián, Puerto Rico. It is known as a barrio. In 2010, about 415 people lived there.
History of Cidral
Puerto Rico became a part of the United States after the Spanish–American War in 1898. This happened because of a peace agreement called the Treaty of Paris of 1898. Puerto Rico then became an "unincorporated territory" of the U.S. This means it is a U.S. territory but not a state.
In 1899, the United States government took a count of all the people in Puerto Rico. This count is called a census. The census found that Cidral and a nearby area called Piedras Blancas had a combined population of 1,125 people.

The types of sectors can be different. Some are simply called sector, while others might be named urbanización, reparto, barriada, or residencial. Each name describes a different kind of local community or housing area.
