Early Life and Education
Ciera Payton grew up with a passion for the arts. She studied at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts, which is a special school for talented young artists. After that, she went on to get her college degree in drama from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. This helped her learn many skills for acting.
Acting Career
Ciera Payton started her acting journey in movies. Her first big role was in the 2007 film Flight of Fury, where she played a CIA agent named Jessica. She was still in college when she filmed this movie!
In 2009, Ciera also began acting on stage. She made her debut in an off-Broadway play called Savannah Black and Blue. This play was produced by the famous Negro Ensemble Company.
Around 2010, Ciera moved to Los Angeles to continue her acting career. She quickly landed a role in the BBC American show Torchwood. She also appeared in The Closer, acting alongside Keira Sedwick.
