Cinderella is a classic animated musical fantasy movie made by Walt Disney. It first came out in theaters on February 15, 1950. This movie is the 12th film in the famous Walt Disney Animated Classics series.

The story is based on the old fairy tale called Cendrillon by Charles Perrault. It was directed by Clyde Geronimi, Hamilton Luske, and Wilfred Jackson. The movie features many popular songs written by Mack David, Jerry Livingston, and Al Hoffman. Some of these songs include "A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes" and "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo".

A live-action version of Cinderella was released in 2015. Walt Disney Pictures produced it, and Kenneth Branagh directed it. Lily James played Cinderella, and Richard Madden was Prince Charming. This newer movie was also very successful.

The Story of Cinderella

In a magical kingdom long ago, Cinderella lived happily with her parents. But then her mother passed away. Her father later married a cold woman who had two daughters, Drizella and Anastasia. After Cinderella's father also died, her stepmother made her a servant in her own home.

Meanwhile, at the castle, the King decided it was time for his son, the Prince, to find a wife. The King wanted many grandchildren! So, he invited every young woman in the kingdom to a grand ball. The Prince would choose his bride there.

Cinderella had no suitable dress for the ball. But her animal friends, especially the mice Jaq and Gus, helped her make one. Sadly, her evil stepsisters tore the dress apart on the night of the ball. The stepmother and stepsisters then left for the ball, leaving Cinderella crying in the garden.

Her sadness ended when her Fairy Godmother appeared. With a wave of her magic wand, the Fairy Godmother gave Cinderella a beautiful coach, horses, a coachman, and a stunning silver ball gown with glass slippers. But she warned Cinderella to return home before midnight. If she didn't, all the magic would disappear!

At the ball, Cinderella and the Prince fell in love. The King thought Cinderella would be the perfect daughter-in-law. But at midnight, Cinderella rushed away, leaving one of her glass slippers behind. The Prince then searched the kingdom, asking every young woman to try on the slipper.

When Cinderella heard about the search, her stepmother found out and locked her in her room. But when the Duke arrived at their home, Cinderella's mouse friends, Jaq and Gus, found the key and freed her. Cinderella tried on the slipper, and it fit perfectly! She then married the Prince and lived happily ever after with her love and friends.
