Early Life and School

Cinta Laura grew up in many different countries, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Singapore, Germany, and Indonesia. When she was 12 years old, she moved to Indonesia.

She became a national swimmer in Indonesia. She won many medals, including 10 gold, 7 silver, and 7 bronze, in various swimming competitions.

Cinta Laura went to Columbia University in New York, a very famous school. She even helped teach psychology classes there. She graduated with honors in May 2014. After finishing college, she moved to Los Angeles to start her acting career in Hollywood. She signed contracts with big companies like Netflix.

Starting Out in 2007

Cinta Laura began her acting career in February 2007. Her first TV show was Cinderella: Apakah Cinta Hanyalah Mimpi?. It was very popular and had 310 episodes. Because of this show, she became well-known and won the "2007 Indonesia's Best Actress" award.

Movies and Music (2007–2012)

In 2007, Cinta Laura starred in her first movie, Oh Baby. She also sang songs for the movie's soundtrack. The movie's songs were very popular in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Brunei.

After that, she released her first music album, Cinta Laura, in 2010. It sold over a million copies! In 2010, she also won the Wannabe Artist Award at the Nickelodeon Indonesia Kids' Choice Awards.

She continued acting in TV shows like Upik Abu dan Laura (2008) and Air Mata Cinta (2009). These shows were also very successful. She then released more songs for her second album, Hollywood Dreams (2012).

Hollywood and New Music (2013–Present)

In 2013, Cinta Laura moved to Los Angeles to work in Hollywood. She acted in the American movie After the Dark (2013). She also worked with a Hollywood producer on The Ninth Passenger (2018).
