Cisco is a small place in Murray County, Georgia, in the United States. It's called an "unincorporated community" because it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town. You can find Cisco where three important roads meet: U.S. Route 411, Georgia State Route 2, and Georgia State Route 61. It's about 13 miles north of a town called Chatsworth. Cisco also has its own post office with the ZIP code 30708.
The Story of Cisco: Its History
Cisco has a history that goes back to the late 1800s. A post office was first opened here in 1881. The community got its name from a local store owner. People shortened and changed the name of "Cis" Cockburn, who ran a store in the area.
