Clarkson is a small city located in Grayson County, Kentucky, United States. It's known as a "home rule-class city," which means it has the power to manage its own local affairs.
In 2020, about 933 people lived in Clarkson. This was a small increase from 875 people in 2010. The city was first called "Grayson Springs Depot." This name came from a nearby resort. In 1882, the name changed to Clarkson. This was to honor Manoah Clarkson, who owned the resort.
Clarkson is famous for its annual Honeyfest. It is also home to The Walter T. Kelley Company. This company makes special equipment for beekeeping.

On March 15, 2006, something special happened for Clarkson. The Governor of Kentucky, Ernie Fletcher, signed a new law. This law made the Clarkson Honeyfest the "Official State Honey Festival of Kentucky." This means the Honeyfest is recognized as a very important event for the state.
