Joseph Claude Roger LaForge (born July 1, 1936) is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey player. He played as a left winger. Claude played for parts of 8 years in the National Hockey League (NHL). He was a player for the Montreal Canadiens, Detroit Red Wings, and Philadelphia Flyers.

Claude LaForge's Hockey Journey
Early Days in Hockey
Before joining the NHL, Claude LaForge played for a few different teams. He played two games with the Montreal Royals. He also spent a season with the Shawinigan-Falls Cataracts. Both of these teams were part of the Quebec Hockey League (QHL).
After that, he played one season with the Cincinnati Mohawks. This team was in the International Hockey League (IHL). In 1958, Claude was recognized for his skill. He was chosen for the QHL Second All-Star Team.
Playing in the NHL
Claude LaForge started his NHL career with the Montreal Canadiens. This was during the 1957–58 season. He played a total of five games with the Canadiens. On June 3, 1958, the Canadiens made a trade. They sent LaForge, along with Gene Achtymichuk and Bud MacPherson, to the Detroit Red Wings. In return, the Canadiens received money.
Time with the Red Wings
Claude spent time playing for the Detroit Red Wings. He also played for their minor league teams. These teams were the Hershey Bears and Pittsburgh Hornets. Both of these teams played in the AHL.
After playing with Detroit for parts of five years, he moved to the Hornets. On March 1, 1966, he was traded again. He went to the Quebec Aces of the AHL. In exchange, the Red Wings received Terry Gray.
Joining the Flyers
On May 8, 1967, the Philadelphia Flyers bought the Quebec Aces team. This meant that Claude LaForge's NHL rights moved to the Flyers. He played 65 regular season games for the Philadelphia Flyers.
In August 1970, the Flyers traded LaForge. He went to the Denver Spurs of the Western Hockey League (WHL). This trade was also for money.
Retirement from the Ice
Claude LaForge played three seasons with the Denver Spurs. After these seasons, he decided to retire. He stopped playing professional ice hockey in 1973.
