Clayton Square Shopping Centre is a popular shopping centre right in the heart of Liverpool, England. It's super easy to get to, being very close to both Liverpool Lime Street and Liverpool Central railway stations.
Opened in April 1989, Clayton Square is one of Liverpool's main shopping spots. While it's a great place to visit, it faces friendly competition from other big shopping areas. These include Liverpool One, St. John's Shopping Centre, and Metquarter. Other busy streets like Church Street and Bold Street also offer lots of shops.

What You'll Find at Clayton Square
Clayton Square is home to many different shops. Over the years, new businesses have opened their doors here.
A Swedish Store Arrives
In April 2010, a well-known Swedish hardware store called Clas Ohlson opened its sixth store in the UK right here. It took over the space where a music and movie shop, Zavvi, used to be. This added even more variety to the shopping centre.
Working Together for the City
All the businesses inside Clayton Square Shopping Centre are part of a group called Retail and Leisure Liverpool BID. This group helps to make the city centre a better place for everyone. They work with other important groups to improve the shopping and fun experiences in Liverpool.
Modern Makeover for the Centre
Clayton Square got a big update between 2014 and 2015. This major project made the shopping centre even better for visitors.
Big Changes Inside
The refurbishment finished in December 2015. During this time, some smaller shops were combined to create larger spaces for new stores. The inside of the mall was also opened up to show its full height, making it feel much more spacious.
New Ways to Have Fun
The upper floor of the shopping centre was changed a lot. Public access to this floor was removed, and the space was used for new attractions. Half of the upper floor became a gym, offering a place for people to exercise. The other half was turned into a bowling alley called Lane 7, perfect for a fun day out with friends or family.
A New Entrance and Restaurant
The entrance that used to be on Church Street was closed off. This area was then transformed into a new unit. Today, this space is home to the Wildwood Restaurant, offering a tasty place to eat after shopping.
